CBS Sports, a client of Partis, have announced a long-term strategic partnership with William Hill. Focussed on the US market, the deal will make William Hill the official provider of sports betting and wagering data across CBS’s sports portfolio.
Starting March 2020, the partnership will eventually apply across a wide range of digital channels including those focussed on fantasy football.
Partis advised CBS on both the strategy and the transaction from start to finish. The deal secures CBS’s position as a leader in the online sports betting space within the fast-growing US market.
Following the PASPA repeal in May 2018, Partis has facilitated market access deals that have generated more than $200m for its clients.
The firm, which is part of The Conexus Group, provides consulting and advisory services for a wide range of clients looking to establish or expand US sports betting operations. Many other sports media providers have sought to capitalise on the opportunity of sports betting through partnerships or diversification.
